• What happened to Berocca Calmag?
– The formulation has been improved with added ingredients together with a slightly different flavour.
– It is marketed since 2005 as Berocca Orange and new Berocca Tropical.
• What additional ingredients have been added to the Berocca Calmag formulation?
– Folic acid and Zinc have been included
• Has the level of Calcium, Magnesium and the B-vitamins changed?
– No, the levels are exactly the same
• What about Vit C?
– The level has changed but new Berocca still contains 5 times the RDA of vitamin C
Can I take Berocca every day?
Berocca can be taken every day throughout the year, but you should not use Berocca to replace a healthy, balanced diet.
Can I take more than one tablet a day?
The recommended daily intake is one tablet per day.
Can I use Berocca during pregnancy?
We are not aware of any safety issues for women taking Berocca whilst pregnant. We recommend that you talk to your GP, midwife or pharmacist about vitamin supplements.
Can I use Berocca whilst breastfeeding?
The vitamins and minerals in Berocca are excreted into breast milk, but harmful effects on the child are unlikely when used at the recommended dose of one tablet per day. If you have any concerns we recommend that you talk to your doctor or midwife about taking vitamin supplements whilst breastfeeding.
Does Berocca contain Carbohydrates?
Carbohydrates are macronutrients and are not contained in our products. We deal specifically with micronutrients (i.e vitamins and minerals).
Does Berocca contain gluten?
No. The effervescent and film-coated Berocca tablets do not contain any gluten, and there are no wheat, barley or rye ingredients in either formulation.
Does Berocca contain lactose?
A film-coated Berocca tablet contains 94.3mg of lactose. There is no lactose in an effervescent Berocca tablet.
Does Berocca contain yeast?
No. The effervescent and film-coated Berocca tablets do not
contain any yeast.
Does Berocca have any side effects?
There have been no recorded side effects.
