You & Stress
What is Stress?
Many people do not know the difference between pressure and stress. Pressure is the stimulation and challenge you need to achieve job satisfaction and self-esteem. Stress is a reaction to continued excessive pressure or responsibility when you feel inadequate or unable to cope.

Stress is a also condition of increased activity in the body as a result of physical, psychological and emotional events.

Stress itself is not an event - it is our reaction to an event. Heat, cold, pain, fear, spite, friendship, love, grief - all take us out of our comfort zones and cause stress.

But not all stress is bad. A certain amount is actually good for us because it gets us "hyped up" and ready to tackle challenges.

Only when stress continues for a long period is it detrimental to our health because it eventually leads to a point where our bodies can no longer cope with the pressure.
